Associate Professor Murad Idris recently received the award for Best Book in Interdisciplinary Studies from the International Studies Association for his book War for Peace: Genealogies of a Violent Ideal in Western and Islamic Thought. The award “recognizes a work that is an original and outstanding contribution to interdisciplinary studies, broadly defined.” The book previously won the David Easton Prize from APSA’s Foundations of Political Theory Section and the IETHICS Best Book Award from the ISA’s International Ethics Section.
