Associate Professor Paul Freedman, who serves as a member of the UVA Committee on Sustainability and the UVA Sustainable Food Collaborative, will helm an expert panel discussion on "Food and Justice in Virginia" on January 27. The panel will take up "ongoing challenges facing the United States food system, including ensuring equitable access to fresh, nutritious, and affordable food; protecting the health and safety of farm and food service workers; and addressing legacies of harm, particularly to Black and Indigenous farmers."
