Postdoctoral Fellow Jan Vogler, who will take up an assistant professorship in Germany next semester, has received multiple recognitions for his dissertation on variation in public bureaucracies. Earlier this month, Vogler received an honorable mention for the Ernst B. Haas dissertation award for the best dissertation in European Politics and Society. This week his dissertation was also named the honorable mention for the Ronald H. Coase Dissertation Award for the best dissertation in institutional and organizational economics, awarded by the Society for Institutional and Organizational Economics.
